Job summary

MountainView Regional Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Emergency Medicine team. This fast-paced department offers strong physician coverage, streamlined workflows, and a collaborative clinical environment.

You will evaluate and treat acute conditions, perform procedures as needed, document in MEDHOST EDIS, and work with a dedicated team to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Current New Mexico NP or PA license (or eligibility)
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced emergency department environment
• Prior emergency medicine experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with acute and emergent conditions
• Provide timely, high-quality emergency care within scope of practice
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and consulting specialists
• Assist in procedures and stabilization of critically ill patients when appropriate
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system
• Follow hospital protocols, safety standards, and evidence-based guidelines
