Advocate Health is seeking a Physician Assistant to join the High Point Main Emergency Medicine team on a part-time basis. The role involves performing complex emergency procedures, coordinating diagnostic studies, and maintaining thorough patient records under physician supervision.

Schedule varies with patient needs. Ideal candidates hold PA licensure and have graduation from an accredited PA program; ability to work well under pressure and communicate effectively is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• PA licensure is required.

Responsabilités

• Perform complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in diagnosing emergency medical problems and prescribing necessary treatment.
• Coordinate and schedule laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures; explain procedures to patients.
• Carry out complex patient care under indirect physician supervision and monitor patient progress.
• Plan and schedule work for the physician's health team and ensure proper staffing and facilities.
• Participate in research projects and prepare analyses and recommendations.
• Teach students, residents and interns in emergency medicine techniques.
• Ensure complete documentation in the medical record.
• Participate in continuing education in emergency care.
• Stay up to date with department and hospital policy and guidelines.
