Job summary

Sycamore Physician Contracting LLC is seeking an Emergency Medicine NP/PA for a permanent position in the Jacksonville area, Florida. The role involves working across multiple sites with a team-based approach under physician oversight.

Expect nights, weekends, and some holidays with a mix of hospital EDs and freestanding EDs. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years EM APP experience, Florida licensure, ACLS and PALS, and the ability to care for adults and children.

Qualifications

• Two years of emergency medicine APP experience.
• Appropriate NP or PA board certification.
• Ability to care for adults and children.
• ACLS and PALS certifications.
• Florida licensure.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends.
• No visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medicine care across hospital and freestanding EDs.
• Perform procedures such as laceration repairs, incision and drainage, foreign body removal, and eye examinations.
• Maintain physician oversight and collaborate with the clinical team.
• Work night, weekend, and holiday coverage as required.
• Adhere to ED protocols and patient safety standards.

The opportunity

• Permanent emergency medicine NP/PA opportunity across multiple sites.

Schedule and commitment

• Mostly 9-10-hour shifts; occasional 12-hour shifts.
• Weekend, holiday, and night coverage required.

Clinical details

• Mixed patient population across hospital emergency departments and freestanding emergency departments.
• EMR: Epic with dictation and AI scribe support.
• Physician oversight and a collaborative clinical team.
• Procedures: laceration repairs, incision and drainage, foreign-body removal, and eye examinations.
• Expected workload: 1.5-2 patients per hour.
• Hospital EDs: 30-50 beds; freestanding EDs: 16-25 beds.
• No trauma designation.

Requirements

• Two years of emergency medicine APP experience.
• Appropriate NP or PA board certification and ability to care for adults and children.
• ACLS and PALS.
• Florida licensure required.
• Must be able to work nights and care for children.
• No visa sponsorship.

Compensation and logistics

• Base compensation listed at $85/hour, with RVU incentives and a benefits package.
