Sanford Health in Michigan is seeking an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Iron Mountain. The NP provides advanced nursing care in the Emergency Department, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians to deliver timely, high-quality care.

Requires Master’s or Doctorate in NP, valid NP and RN licenses, DEA, and AGACNP-BC/ACNPC-AG or equivalent board certification; prior emergency medicine or acute care experience preferred.

Qualificações

• Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Prior Emergency Medicine or acute care experience strongly preferred.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in each state of practice.
• Current DEA permit to prescribe controlled substances in each state of practice.

Responsabilidades

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments including history, physical examination, and diagnostic testing.
• Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries such as fractures, infections, cardiac events, respiratory distress, trauma, and other emergent conditions.
• Order, interpret, and act upon diagnostic tests such as labs, EKGs, imaging studies, and monitor patient progress.
• Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication prescriptions, procedures, and referrals to specialists as necessary.
• Provide wound care, suturing, splinting, and other emergency procedures within NP scope of practice.
