Job summary

Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, NC is seeking passionate Advanced Practice Providers who value teamwork, clinical excellence, and making a meaningful difference in patients' lives.

You will work with attending physicians and interdisciplinary teams in a busy community emergency department, provide direct patient care, participate in protocol development and quality initiatives, and support ongoing education and leadership within the department.

Qualifications

• Complete accredited NP program with a Master's degree in Nursing.
• FNP, ACNP, or AGACNP/AGCCNP with pediatric certificate required, ENP certificate preferred
• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program; Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct clinical services for eligible patients in collaboration with attending physicians.
• Performs triage, physical exams, data collection, and orders/coordinates diagnostics.
• Formulates and implements treatment plans for acute illness in collaboration with physicians.
• Maintains timely documentation in EMR of all relevant data and patient status.
• Contributes to excellence in patient care, teaching, and leadership within the organization.
