UF Health Ocala Neighborhood Hospital – Emergency Department in Ocala, FL seeks a physician leader to serve as Medical Director. This role combines clinical practice with department leadership, guiding a growing team of Emergency Medicine physicians as they deliver care under a community-focused model.

As Medical Director, you will set the clinical and cultural tone, ensure quality and consistency of care, build a collaborative team, and liaise with hospital leadership.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice medicine in Florida.
• Four years of appropriate experience; residency may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day clinical operations and quality of care in the ED.
• Build and sustain a collaborative, high-performing team of physicians and staff.
• Address physician performance and behavioral concerns constructively.
• Serve as liaison with hospital administration and department leadership.
• Guide department growth and operational transitions as the Microhospital scales.
