The MACC differs from an urgent care center because it is considered a hospital, and therefore, can accept ambulances and patients with acute illnesses or injuries. The MACC has access to around-the-clock cardiac and stroke services at nearby Mercy Hospital of Buffalo and all trauma is transferred to the Level I Trauma Center at ECMC Health Campus in Buffalo. MACC also provides a range of specialty care and diagnostic testing services.
