Job summary

Regions Hospital is seeking an Emergency Medical Transportation Tech (EMT) to join our HealthPartners Medical Transportation team. The EMT assesses, coordinates, and prioritizes patient care upon staff arrival and coordinates rapid transport to the appropriate receiving facility or home.

Responsibilities include communicating with EMS, fire, police, and health professionals, providing safe patient care, and documenting care in the ePCR system.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• One year of clinical experience in an emergency medical setting preferred.
• EMT certification (MN) and BLS certification required.
• Must complete MN DOT STS training within 45 days of hire and related competencies within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assess, coordinate, and prioritize care of a patient upon HPMT staff arrival.
• Coordinate care to expedite treatment and/or transportation to the appropriate facility or home.
• Communicate with EMS, fire, police, and other health professionals as needed.
• Document patient care accurately in the approved ePCR system.
