Job summary

Best Care Ambulance, Inc. is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician in Trappe, Maryland. The EMT will respond to emergent and nonemergent transports, assess patients, and provide basic life support.

Duties include documenting reports, maintaining equipment, and ensuring patient safety during transport. The role requires completion of NREMT and state EMT certifications, a valid driver's license, and ability to meet driving and physical requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• Successful completion of NREMT certification.
• Current NREMT and State EMT certification (or ability to obtain within 10 days).
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a lift test of 150–200 pounds.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Ability to speak and write English.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent patient care within the EMT scope of practice.
• Ensure safe transport of patient and crew.
• Respond to emergent and non-emergent transports with effective communication.
• Operate communication devices (radio, cell phone, tablet).
• Complete patient contact reports before shift end.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment for ready transport.
