Personal Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older


• Maintain a professional appearance and proper uniform cleanliness


• Physically able to lift, drag, and carry up to 125 lbs (250 lbs with a partner)


• Comfortable with kneeling, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and sitting for extended periods


• Have reliable transportation to and from work


• Positive, respectful attitude and a strong commitment to patient advocacy

Documentation Requirements

• Current NJ EMT‑B or NREMT‑B certification


• Clean driver’s abstract (minimal or no infractions in the last 5 years, required for driver eligibility)


• No criminal history

Experience

• No prior paid EMS experience required — new EMTs are welcome!


• Additional certifications or degrees (Associate’s, Bachelor’s, etc.) are encouraged but not required

Salary Information

22–27 hourly wage.
