Responsibilities

• Provide support, treatment, care, and evaluation of patients on scene and during transport.
• Arrive at emergency scenes, assess the situation, and develop a plan of action.
• Use appropriate medical equipment and assess injury severity.
• Monitor patient condition, collect data, and communicate findings to the RN.
• Assist with mobilization, ambulation, and transport of patients.

Requirements

• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire (AHA or Red Cross accepted).
• EMT credential from the Texas Office of EMS-Trauma Systems prior to hire.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience, OR
• Associate's or technical degree, OR
• 4 years of relevant experience.

Additional Preferences

Join our dynamic Event Medicine Program, focusing on providing medical support at local ISD athletic events, with opportunities to work at various community events. The role involves working mainly Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with flexibility required.

• Certification as EMT, Paramedic, or similar required.
• Experience or interest in sports medicine preferred.
• Ability to work independently, remain calm, and communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of athletic injuries and treatment protocols is a plus.
• Experience in clinical or event-based settings is advantageous.
• Experience working with children or adolescents is a plus.
