Qualifications

  • Must hold CPR/AED certification and current EMT certification in PA.
  • HazMat Awareness and NIMS training required within 30 days.

Responsibilities

Emergency Medical Technician/EMT Prehospital (Part-Time) Hershey Division - Life Lion EMS

Position Overview

The EMT is responsible for responding to emergencies, assessing patients, providing treatment according to PA DOH BLS standards, transporting patients, and assisting ALS providers. Routine non-emergency transports are also part of the role, with proper documentation required.

Minimum Qualifications
  • CPR/AED certification for Healthcare Providers (BLS)
  • Current EMT certification in PA or eligible for reciprocity
  • Valid Driver's license or eligibility for PA driver's license
  • PA DOH EMSVO certification within 30 days of start
  • HazMat Awareness and NIMS training within 30 days
  • Medical Command within 90 days
Preferred Qualifications
  • Six months of EMT experience preferred
