Job summary

Securitas USA is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to provide first aid at client sites, arrange transport as needed, and act as part of the emergency medical team. You will help maintain a safe environment by monitoring premises and enforcing site regulations for personnel and visitors.

Ideal candidates hold EMT-Basic certification in Indiana, meet licensing requirements for Security Officers, and demonstrate strong customer service, teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

Emergency Medical Technician

Pay: $21.94/ hour

• Monday-Friday, 2nd and 3rd shifts available
• Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal certification requirements for EMT-Basic (EMT-1) level. EMT certification must be registered in Indiana.
• Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers.
• Knowledge of or ability to learn security operations and procedures.
• Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
• Ability to be an effective team member.
• Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances.
• Courteous telephone manner.
• Ability to adapt to changes in the external environment and organization.
• Ability to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports.

The EMT position administers first aid treatment at our client sites, arranges for transport of sick or injured persons to a medical facility, and works as a member of the emergency medical team. They help maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises checking for irregularities and inspecting emergency equipment. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our EMT Officers will also provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers.
