A leading healthcare provider in Connecticut is seeking a full-time Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to perform vital patient care tasks in pre-hospital and intra-facility settings. You will operate and maintain medical vehicles, interact professionally with patients, and contribute to emergency medical services, all within an award-winning hospital environment that values compassionate care and community service.
What you would do:
Interacts on a professional level with patients, families, hospital staff, general public and other public safety agencies, providing exemplary care and customer service at all times
Safely operates and assists in the maintenance of company owned vehicles as required
Replenishes medical equipment and supplies as needed.
Work Hours/Shift:
Full time, 12 hr, Rotating Shifts
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Where applicable and as required must maintain Continuing Education per the local Medical Control Authorities and the state’s Department of Consumer & Industry Services.
Licensed as Emergency Medical Responder, EMT-B. Current AHA CPR certification valid Driver's License in good standing in CT and be eligible for driving privileges based on current company policies and procedures.
Must be able to think and act calmly and quickly in emergency situations.
