Job summary

Newberry County Memorial Hospital (NCMH) seeks an Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT-B) on an as-needed basis to deliver life support per scope of practice and transport patients to appropriate facilities.

Located in Newberry County, South Carolina, this role supports community health with compassionate patient care, teamwork, and adherence to hospital standards of care and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• SC Certified EMT-B with focus on continued education.
• Current BLS certification or obtain within 60 days of employment.
• Prior EMT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide life support in accordance with scope of practice for the critically ill and injured.
• Transport patients to medical facilities as needed.

We are seeking a Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT-B) on an as-needed basis to provide life support in accordance with their scope of practice to the critically ill and injured, and transports patient(s) to a medical facility.

Requirements

Education:

• SC Certified EMT-B with focus on continued education through in-services, seminars, in-house hospital education, and technical school with focus on improved patient care topics/Paramedic courses.
• Must have current BLS certification or obtain within 60 days of employment.

Experience:

Prior EMT experience preferred.
