Job summary

Midwood EMS, based in the Bronx, is seeking new and experienced EMTs with strong communication and interpersonal skills to work from our Bronx Base in Westchester Square.

The role offers full-time and part-time positions with a sign-on bonus for full-time employees, weekly pay, paid time off, free uniforms, daily overtime opportunities, and a professional work environment. Base options include Bronx & Brooklyn, with union benefits and evening/overnight schedules.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State EMT-Basic certification is required.
• New York State Driver’s License is preferred.
• Other requirements per NYS Department of Health or statute.

Responsibilities

• Provides Basic Life Support (BLS) per city, state, and organizational procedures.
• Be helpful, friendly, and professional with patients, coworkers, supervisors, and the public.
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull 125 lbs or more.
• Maintain a clean, stocked ambulance per NYS DOH requirements and restock at shift end.

Qualifications of an EMT :

• ValidNew York State EMT-Basiccertification required
• New York State Driver’s License preferred
• Any and all other requirements for the position as determined by the New York State Department of Health or other regulating agency or statute.

Duties & Responsibilities of an EMT :

• Provides Basic Life Support (BLS) in compliance with city, state, and organizational procedures
• Be helpful, friendly, and professional throughout all interactions with patients, co-workers, supervisors, and the public
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull 125 lbs or more
• Maintain a clean and fully stocked ambulance per NYS DOH requirements, restocking supplies at the end of each shift
