CORE Occupational Medicine in Elkton, VA is seeking an experienced EMT to support our occupational health program at the Elkton site.

This full-time role requires EMT certification and first responder experience, plus CPR/AED and strong communication with patients and coworkers.

Qualifications

• EMT state certification and/or NREMT; proof of reciprocity.
• Previous EMT or 911 response experience preferred.
• Current First Aid/ CPR/ AED certification; additional certs are a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills for client and employee relations.

Responsabilités

• Respond to emergencies efficiently and promptly.
• Administer basic first aid and medical support per policy and regulations.
• Assess injuries/illnesses to prioritize medical procedures.
• Communicate with medical professionals for further action.
• Communicate with client/site personnel about incidents or hazards.
• Demonstrate teamwork and coordination in a changing worksite.
• Maintain quality, clinical standards at all times.
• Document findings and treatments clearly and concisely.
• Conduct oneself professionally under stress.
• Assist Site Safety Managers in maintaining a safe work environment.

We are looking for an experienced EMT to join our team at our Elkton, VA, site.

Position Responsibilities

• Responding to emergencies efficiently and promptly
• Administering basic first aid and medical support to patients, in accordance with federal, state, local and company policy and regulations
• Assessing the nature and extent of injuries/illnesses to prioritize medical procedures
• Effectively communicating with medical professionals and treatment facilities to obtain instructions regarding further action
• Effectively communicating with client and site personnel regarding any worksite incidents, hazards, etc.
• Demonstrating a strong orientation towards team work and the ability to understand the importance of team coordinated efforts
• Demonstrating a strong ability to be cognizant of the constantly changing worksite environment and construction site hazards
• Ensuring that quality, clinical standards are practiced at all times
• Documenting all findings and treatments clearly and concisely
• Conducting oneself in a helpful, dignified and professional manner regardless of stress level and personal circumstances
• Assisting the Site Safety Managers and Personnel in maintaining the most safe and secure work environment possible

Position Qualifications

• EMT State Certification and/or National Registry; Must provide proof of reciprocity
• Previous EMT experience, 1st response experience or emergency 911 experience preferred
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification; Any additional certifications are a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with client and employees
