A clinically competent EMS provider who assumes responsibility and accountability to provide basic and/or advanced emergency care in out-of-hospital settings, including the evaluation, treatment, and transport of injured and/or ill adult, pediatric, and newborn patients in accordance with standard operating procedures.
In hospital settings, assists Registered Nurses, Paramedics, and Advanced Providers in caring for patients from neonate to geriatric. Under the direction of Registered Nurses and/or Providers, assists with tasks and procedures not specifically denied by Nursing policy or State of Iowa EMS laws and regulations, applicable to EMT/A-EMT and paramedics.
The EMS provider cares for patients using therapeutic use of self, the environment/instrumentation, and collaboration with other healthcare team members. Serves as a patient advocate and liaison between ancillary departments, physicians, and community resources. The Paramedic is responsible for directing assigned personnel as needed.

Shift will be from 7 pm to 7 am, with a 12-hour call shift, every 3rd weekend and 3rd holiday rotation. Wage will be commensurate with experience.
