Position Details

• Title: Emergency Medical Technician: Basic, Advance, or Paramedic [Part-Time]
• Department: Fire/EMS
• Rate Class: Part Time
• Reports To: Command Officer or Company Officer, including Chief, Deputy Chief(s), Captain, Lieutenant
• Shift: Flexible hours, including 12 or 24-hour shifts, subject to change at discretion of City Manager or Chief. Considered essential personnel.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Certification as EMT or higher from Texas Department of State Health Services
• Valid Texas Driver License

Job Summary

Under supervision, perform duties related to medical emergencies, prevention, emergency medical services, and emergency management response as assigned.

Skills and Knowledge

Knowledge of EMS principles, laws, procedures, and equipment. Skilled in operation of relevant tools. Capable of physical work, effective communication, sound judgment, and establishing effective relationships.

Responsibilities

• Supervise EMTs and other staff as assigned
