Position Overview

Under limited supervision, the EMT plans, directs, and evaluates total patient care as part of an EMS team. The role involves functioning in the transport environment on a designated shift, in accordance with established policies. Responsibilities include orienting and training transport personnel, maintaining effective communication for continuity of care, and participating in education, record-keeping, and policy updates.

Qualifications

1. High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
2. Emergency Medical Technician certification (Required)
3. 1 Year experience as an EMT (Required)
4. 1 Year experience driving a Type III Ambulance (Required)
5. State Driver's License in good standing, with 3 points or less (Required)
6. EMSVO Credentialing (Required)
7. Certifications: BLS, EMSVO, EMT (All Required)

Responsibilities

1. Operate emergency vehicles safely and in compliance with laws and standards.
2. Provide patient care during transport, adhering to protocols and standards.
3. Train and orient new transport personnel.
4. Maintain accurate records and participate in ongoing education.
