Qualifications

• EMT/EMT-B certification required and active.
• CPR for Health Care Provider required.
• Strong knowledge of street systems and EMS equipment.
• Ability to perform technical medical skills with high accuracy.
• Ability to handle emotional medical needs and emergencies.
• Maintain professional attitude and continue education to maintain annual certification.
• Willingness to drive and operate emergency ambulances.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Recognizes and treats medical emergencies with differential diagnosis.
• Performs physical examinations.
• Provides emergency therapy and life-saving interventions.
• Addresses medical and emotional needs of patients to reduce morbidity.
• Maintains patient-care quality as per company standards.
• Files standardized patient reports for hospital and billing.
• Communicates with physician on duty to obtain orders.
• Follows protocols when physician unavailable.
• Transports ill and injured to medical facilities.
• Operates emergency vehicles safely.
• Completes patient statistics and medical information forms.
• Assists technical rescues and removes victims from terrain.
• Follows SOPs as directed by the company.
