Job Summary
Emergency Medical Technicians will transport Harris Health System patients via ambulance and provide care in accordance with established treatment modalities and Patient Care Guidelines inside and outside of hospital.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Education: High School Diploma; Graduate of accredited school offering EMS training
2. License & Certifications:
   • EMT Certified in the State of Texas
   • Current Texas drivers license/ City of Houston E-Permit
   • Basic Life Support
3. Work Experience: One (1) year in EMS field preferred
4. Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact), Exceptional Verbal (e.g., Public Speaking), Writing/ Reports
5. Proficiencies: P.C.
6. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Analytical, Medical Terms
7. Work Schedule: Flexible
8. Equipment Operated: Vehicle, Computer, other as required by job description
9. Other Requirements: Able to work according to specific job requirements, subject to extreme weather conditions.
