Job summary

The University of New Mexico, EMS Academy, is seeking a full-time Lecturer to join our Emergency Medical Services faculty. This position will lead primary instruction, coordinate EMS courses, evaluate students, and support clinical education across the Albuquerque area and rural off-campus sites as needed.

Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree, be a nationally registered and NM-licensed paramedic, and bring at least three years of EMS field experience.

Qualifications

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree.
  • Be a Nationally Registered Paramedic.
  • Be a fully licensed New Mexico Paramedic.
  • Minimum of three years of field EMS experience.
  • Knowledge of National EMS Scope of Practice and Education Standards.
  • Possess NM Instructor Coordinator Certification or eligible.

Responsibilities

  • Lead primary instruction and coordination of EMS courses.
  • Oversee student evaluation and clinical education components.
  • Support off-campus rural, frontier, and tribal EMS education activities.
  • Foster open communication, teamwork, and professional development within the EMS program.
