Job summary

National Emergency Management and Response is seeking a Pharmacy Technician with national certification and at least 3 years of CPhT experience to support service populations nationwide. You will manage medication inventory, ensure proper storage, and maintain MAR records while adhering to agency policies.

Candidates must hold a High School Diploma and a PTCB or ExCPT certification, with Texas board registration preferred for deployments and eligibility to work nationwide.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; national pharmacy tech certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
• Minimum 3 years CPhT experience in hospital or community pharmacy.
• Registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy preferred for deployments.
• Must be eligible to work Nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the National EMR Policies and Procedures Manual, Uniform Handbook, and Operations Manual.
• Foster a culture that encourages safe work and reports safety concerns up the chain of command.
• Maintain active status in agency platforms, including LMS for training.
• Perform pharmacy services as prescribed by a provider, including inventory, storage, distribution, and documentation.
• Communicate with health care providers and serve as liaison between pharmacy and medical staff.
• Maintain medication inventory, ensure items are in date and properly stored.
• Dispose of unused and expired medications per protocols.
• Maintain electronic and paper medical records as required.
• Develop and maintain MAR for each client and perform daily MAR audits.
• Distribute daily medical lists to designated staff.
