Emergency Med Tech PRN, Transport Services, As Needed

Responsibilities

The Emergency Med Tech (EMT) is responsible for ground/air transportation of patients and/or the Transport Team in emergency and non-emergency situations, ensuring the safety of patients, team members, and the public. The EMT maintains all regulatory documentation related to transportation and ensures vehicles and equipment are clean and safe. Duties are governed by the United States Department of Transportation Services and the Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services.

• This role involves driving Norton Healthcare vehicles, including transporting patients and visitors. A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record are required.

Qualifications

Required:

• Valid Driver’s License
• Kentucky or Indiana EMT license at the time of hire
• Must obtain additional EMT license in KY or IN within six months of hire

Desired:

• One year EMT experience
• Graduate of an Emergency Medical Technician Program
