Job summary

Strategic Systems Programs is seeking qualified candidates for an emergency management specialist role focused on assessing and improving readiness. Responsibilities include planning and executing exercises, responding to disasters, and supporting resource reconciliation for emergency operations.

The position requires eligibility for DoD security clearances, travel as needed, and compliance with federal employment requirements.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience in emergency management related to preventing, preparing for, responding to, recovering from, or mitigating hazards.
• Experience at or beyond GS-09 level or pay band in federal service or equivalent private/public sector.
• Volunteer or paid experience that demonstrates emergency management competencies may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessing, inspecting and evaluating emergency management processes, preparedness, responses, plans and SOPs.
• Plan, prepare and execute Recovering from Emergency exercises to evaluate the command's level of preparedness and emergency response to all disasters.
• Plan, prepare and execute Recovering from Emergency exercises to evaluate the command's level of preparedness and emergency response to all disasters.
• Respond to actual disasters and support reconciliation of resources against those needed for emergency response activities.
• Act as alternate emergency management representative for SWFPAC during any emergency event, including national level weapon enterprise planning.
