Job summary

Harnett County Schools seeks an Emergency Management Coordinator to supervise and coordinate the County's emergency management program, SARA Title III hazardous materials program, and the Radiological Emergency Preparedness Program within Emergency Services. You will help develop the County Emergency Operations Plan and coordinate disaster mitigation and response efforts.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in emergency management or related field.
• Five (5) years of related work experience in emergency management planning and coordination.
• Possession of a valid North Carolina driver's license.
• Possession of North Carolina Class A Non CDL license (Preferred).
• Possession of certifications in EM/ICS and hazardous materials management.

Responsibilities

• Provides day-to-day planning, implementation, and evaluation of emergency management plans.
• Coordinates with law enforcement, fire, EMS, and governmental agencies during emergencies.
• Staffs the EOC during activations and ensures continuity of government.
