Join our team as an Emergency Management and Exercise Planner at CASE Management Consulting!

Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI

Compensation: $130,000–$140,000 annually

CASE Management Consulting is searching for an Emergency Management and Exercise Planner to join a high-performing team. This position is high op-tempo, and high-visibility in support of an appreciative client who works closely with the contractor team and provides monthly feedback to the CASE leadership team!

YourImpactful Duties:

• Provide operational and mission support for exercises, facilities, training, continuity planning, readiness reporting, crisis management, and national security activities.
• Draft and coordinate Department of Defense (DoD) executive correspondence, memoranda, briefings, issuances, operational reports, and other senior-level documentation.
• Support Continuity of Operations (COOP) exercise planning, development, execution, and evaluation, including drafting after-action reports and tracking corrective actions.
• Assist with DoD tabletop exercises and facilitated discussions involving Senior Executive Service (SES) and Flag Officer-level participants.
• Develop exercise materials, briefing slides, scenarios, injects, and other products required to support exercise execution.
• Conduct liaison and coordination across the Department of Defense, Interagency partners, and Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (DASD) and Assistant Secretary of Defense (ASD) organizations in support of continuity and crisis management missions.
• Provide Crisis Response Mission Support for the establishment and sustainment of the Secretary of Defense Crisis Response Program in accordance with DoDI 3020.44, Defense Crisis Management.
• Augment the Continuity Coordination Element (CCE) during continuity events, crisis response operations, exercises, and other mission requirements.
• Provide daily planning and operational support for National Special Security Events (NSSEs), Defense Continuity activities, and crisis response operations.
• Develop situational awareness products, executive-level briefings, operational updates, and other decision-support materials.
• Develop, maintain, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), plans, policies, and procedural documentation.
• Review and reconcile plans, policies, procedures, and other mission documentation maintained by DXM to ensure consistency and currency.
• Support knowledge management activities across Microsoft Teams, shared drives, email archives, and other collaboration platforms.
• Identify, recommend, implement, and maintain knowledge management processes and practices within DXM.
• Develop, maintain, and update organizational websites and digital information repositories.
• Provide facilities management, site support, administrative support, and other operational assistance required by the Government.

Requirements:

• An active Top Secret (TS) or TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or a comparable level of education, training, or professional certification obtained through the U.S. military services, FEMA, or recognized trade/professional associations.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience supporting National-Level Exercises, HSEEP-governed exercises, and continuity of operations (COOP) activities.
• Minimum of 5–7 years of relevant professional experience gained as a DoD civilian, contractor supporting federal agencies, through military service/training, or through equivalent private-sector experience.
• Demonstrated experience providing direct support to senior military and civilian officials, including senior executive-level leadership.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop clear, concise correspondence, policy documents, briefings, reports, and other materials for senior-level officials.
• Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate and communicate effectively across DoD organizations, federal agencies, interagency partners, and senior leadership.
• Proficiency with office automation, collaboration, and information-sharing tools, including:
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Microsoft Teams
• Adobe Acrobat
• Shared drives, collaboration portals, and other information-sharing platforms

Desired Qualifications:

• HSEEP certification preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in emergency management, homeland security, national security, public administration, business, or a related discipline.
• Experience supporting DoD continuity, crisis response, National Special Security Events (NSSEs), or senior-level exercise programs.

Compensation

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $130,000–$140,000. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, education, clearance level, job-related knowledge and skills, customer requirements, and other applicable business factors.
