Job summary

Avera Sacred Heart Hospital is seeking a PRN receptionist to support a hospital unit. The role involves front-desk customer service, patient greeting, and coordinating information with healthcare staff. Hours range from 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am, with an as-needed schedule.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a unit/department resource, providing customer service to patients, families, healthcare staff.
• Greet all persons, answer inquiries, direct, and assist them.
• Uses appropriate reception etiquette for telephone, nurses’ desk receiving area and paging system.
• Communicates messages clearly to all members of the healthcare team.
• Keeps work area clean and organized; restocks rooms and prepares charts.
