Job summary

A generator service company in Florida is seeking Generator Service Technicians responsible for servicing and repairing diesel and gas generators. Candidates will perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and emergency repairs, utilizing strong mechanical and electrical skills. A high school diploma and 5 to 7 years of experience are required, with knowledge of brands like Generac and Caterpillar as a plus. Qualifications

• Candidate must have a good understanding of power generation systems' mechanical operations.
• Experience with brands like Generac, Caterpillar, and Cummins is a plus.
• Motor Vehicle Record must comply with Company policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical repairs and maintenance on generators.
• Provide emergency repairs during and after working hours.
• Read and interpret manuals, schematics, and work orders.

Skills

Working knowledge of power generation systems

Proficient with generator and transfer switch controls

Strong mechanical and electrical skills

Ability to interpret schematics and operational manuals

Skilled usage of mechanical tools

Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 100 lbs)

Education

High School or equivalent (GED)

5 to 7 years of related work experience or training
