The Lake Louise Ski Resort is seeking a dispatcher to coordinate ski patrol and mountain operations, handling accident reporting and communications. The role requires strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills, with responsibilities across radio, phone, and incident response.

Seasonal, full-time scheduling with 4 days on/3 days off; opportunities to work with Parks Canada, EMS, and other agencies; Excel/EdgeAuditor familiarity is beneficial for reporting and statistics.

Qualifications

• Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
• Experience with Excel, Word and basic database management.
• Excellent communication and coordination with staff and external agencies.

Responsabilités

• Monitor two radio channels and relay information while ensuring radio protocol.
• Answer main 7-line telephone, take accident reports and relay messages.
• Dispatch EMS, Park Wardens, Village Medical Clinic and Rescue Teams for incidents.
• Coordinate patrollers, equipment and transportation to accident scenes.
• Record all radio transmissions and maintain logs of accidents and area conditions.
• Update dispatch manuals and ensure dispatch software and hardware function.
• Liaise with Parks Canada, RCMP, EMS and 911 Dispatch after approvals from Mountain Operations.
• Distribute avalanche reports and snow/area openings to lodges; collect daily snow reports.
• Assist patrollers with accident reports and documentation in EdgeAuditor.
• 4 day on/3 days off schedule and uniform requirements.
