Job summary

The State of Hawaii is seeking a Clerk Dispatcher I and II to support shift work on Oahu. Responsibilities include operating a radio-telephone system, dispatching crews and maintaining records.

Qualifications require a high school diploma, plus progressive clerical experience and knowledge of English grammar. Level II adds specialized experience in operating the radio-telephone system and dispatch duties under emergency conditions.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent is required.
• Two years of general clerical work experience for Level I.
• Two years general experience plus one year specialized experience for Level II.

Responsibilities

• Operate radio-telephone communication system to receive and transmit messages.
• Dispatch personnel, materials and equipment in response to calls and emergencies.
• Prepare reports and maintain records as assigned.
