About the role:

As the Emergency Director, you will play a pivotal role in partnering with our board certified Criticalist and leading our emergency veterinary team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care. Our philosophy revolves around maintaining integrity, compassion, and unwavering commitment to our patients, clients, and the referring veterinary community. We value a collaborative team approach and prioritize ongoing education to stay at the forefront of emergency veterinary medicine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the emergency veterinary team
  • Oversee and manage emergency cases, ensuring the highest standard of care
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Implement and uphold hospital protocols and standards
  • Collaborate with other department heads and board certified Criticalist to enhance overall hospital performance
  • Actively participate in continued education and training programs

Collaboration with Specialized Centers: The Emergency Director will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with multiple specialists located just an hour away in Richmond. This collaborative partnership allows for seamless access to specialized services and consultations, enriching our ability to provide comprehensive care for complex cases. Working closely with specialists in areas such as Surgery, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Anesthesiology, Dermatology, and Dentistry, the Emergency Director will contribute to a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
