Job summary

Bay Area Hospital seeks an ED Tech to provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department under RN/physician supervision. You will monitor vital signs, assist with procedures, start IVs, perform phlebotomy and EKGs, and help with patient transport and discharge preparation.

Required are EMT Basic certification and BLS, with prior ED or acute care exposure preferred. This is a full-time day shift position offering competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in Emergency Department setting preferred.
• Current healthcare provider BLS required.
• EMT or paramedic background encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care under RN/physician supervision.
• Monitor vitals and report changes to medical staff.
• Start IVs, draw blood, and perform phlebotomy tasks.
• Prepare wounds and apply dressings per instructions.
• Assist with patient discharge and room turnover.
