Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME, is seeking Registered Nurses for the Emergency Department. Full-time, part-time, and per diem roles with day and night shifts; schedule includes 3 x 12-hour shifts.

Requirements include active RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS or ENPC, and 1 year ER or acute care experience. Sign-on bonuses up to $20,000 for 2+ years, pay $37.00–$51.28/hour; competitive benefits available.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; ER setting preferred.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process.
• Provide direct patient care in Telemetry within Emergency Department.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing staff.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition and diagnostic results.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
