Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health in Massachusetts is seeking an experienced ED nurse to join our growing team. Shifts are 12 hours, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with evening/weekend and holiday rotation. You will assess patients, plan and supervise care, and work with other disciplines to deliver high-quality care.

Minimum MA license required; ED nursing experience preferred; BLS certification required. Vaccination against influenza is required for staff.

Qualifications

Current MA license.
Current Emergency Department nursing experience preferred.
Basic Life Support - American Heart Association.
Clinically competent assessment skills; able to work under stress; strong leadership and problem-solving; strong communication and organization.

Responsibilities

Assess physical, mental, and psychological status of patients using age-appropriate knowledge.
Plans, evaluates and supervises care of all patients assigned.
Collaborates with other disciplines in patient care.
Participates in formal and informal educational programs to improve technical skills.
Continuation of learning and application to practice.
Synthesize patient care information to formulate appropriate nursing diagnoses.
Provide patient and family education.
Work in line with hospital and department policies.
