Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Clackamas, OR is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive nursing care in collaboration with the healthcare team. The RN will perform multi-system assessments, develop individualized care plans, coordinate discharge planning, and document care in the EMR.

Requirements include an ADN, current Oregon RN license, and proven ED experience. This is a full-time position in a high-volume, patient-centered environment.

What You'll Do

• Perform accurate multi-system assessments, including biophysical, psychosocial, and environmental needs.
• Identify deviations from normal on routine lab diagnostic tests and reassess patients throughout hospitalization.
• Develop an individual nursing plan of care sensitive to the developmental needs of the patient.
• Coordinate patient care activities and discharge planning with other departments and community agencies.
• Initiate appropriate measures based on protocol for managing medical and/or surgical patients.
• Correctly carry out the physician's plan of care and accurately document in the EMR.
• Utilize a multidisciplinary approach when appropriate and perform all necessary procedures correctly.
• Evaluate assessment methods, plan of care, and patients' responses to treatment.
• Participate in unit quality assurance activities.
