Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse provides high-quality, patient-centered care aligned with department requirements and standards. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, the RN offers individualized, compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN advocates for patients and families, supporting the organization’s mission to deliver excellent patient outcomes.

  • Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management.
  • Perform procedures and monitor patients as ordered, documenting care thoroughly and promptly.
  • Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipating needs and resolving issues proactively.
  • Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatments, medications, and follow-up care, translating complex information for clarity.
  • Prepare patients and families for self-management post-discharge, including lifestyle changes and disease prevention.

Qualifications Needed

  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course within 1 year of employment.
  • Registered Nurse license.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification within 90 days.
  • BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification within 30 days.
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention or Satori Alternatives Management certification within 1 year.
