Job summary

The Cooley Dickinson Emergency Department in Northampton, MA is seeking a Per Diem Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) to join our team at the Cooley Dickinson Main Campus, located at 30 Locust Street in Northampton, MA.

Per diem APPs commit to two (2) 10-hour shifts per month, including one weekend day shift. Available shift options include 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM, 1:00 PM - 11:00 PM, and 6:00 PM - 4:00 AM.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Physician Assistant required.
• Two years of Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to patients.
• Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates labs and diagnostics.
• Develops plans of care and follows up.
• Orders medications and writes prescriptions.
• Maintains thorough, timely documentation.
• Performs bedside procedures as appropriate.
