Job summary

Mass General Brigham Express Care is seeking a per diem Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) to join our team. The role covers walk-in care with no appointment, at multiple Express Care locations in Western Massachusetts.

Center hours vary by location, including evenings and weekends; APPs must be willing to rotate among all Express Care sites and work two shifts per month or six per quarter, providing urgent care for adults 18+ with on-site radiology and labs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree as Physician Assistant required.
• PA license in state required.
• Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to a designated patient population in ambulatory, inpatient, or procedural settings.
• Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on examination and test findings.
• Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to policies and procedures.
• Maintains high-quality, timely documentation including admission, progress, and discharge notes.
• Performs bedside procedures as appropriate.
