Job summary

Mohawk Valley Health System in Utica, NY is seeking a Patient Care Technician II for the Emergency Department on a full-time night shift. Under the direction of a charge nurse, you assist nursing staff with basic care for non-acutely ill patients.

You will respond to patient call lights, report status, document on the unit, assist with personal hygiene and activities of daily living, and help maintain a safe, clean environment. Shifts are nights, FTE 0.9, union UFCW, with hourly pay.

Qualifications

• REQUIRED: High School graduate or equivalent
• REQUIRED: 1 year experience in related field
• REQUIRED: Completion of a Phlebotomy Course

Responsibilities

• Responds to patient call lights
• Gives status report of patient to appropriate personnel
• Performs documentation duties on unit, timely and concise
• Assists with personal hygiene
• Assists with activities of daily living and mobility
• Assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment
• Perform other duties as required
