Job summary

Northwell Health’s Norwalk Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant or EMT to provide bedside care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Shifts include three 12-hour periods weekly with rotating weekends and holidays, within 7a–7p, 9a–9p, or 11a–11p windows.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and CT licensure as a Nursing Assistant or EMT. The department emphasizes compassionate care, teamwork, and patient safety across a Level II Trauma Center in a community hospital

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required
• Nursing Assistant or EMT in Connecticut required

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care as directed by the Registered Nurse
• Prioritizes assignments in consultation with the RN
• Communicates with patients, visitors and coworkers courteously
• Maintains policies, procedures, and computer systems (Eclipys, Cerner)
• Utilizes supplies and equipment cost-efficiently
• Performs other duties as assigned
