Mass General Brigham’s Cooley Dickinson Emergency Department in Northampton, MA is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join our team. The four 10-hour shifts per week offer flexible scheduling options within a high-quality emergency medicine setting.

The NP/PA will assess and manage diverse patient populations, perform histories and exams, order and interpret tests, develop care plans, prescribe medications, document thoroughly, and participate in a comprehensive

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing required.
• APRN-NP state license required.
• 2+ years of Emergency Medicine experience as NP or PA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care, counseling, and education to a designated patient population in ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and/or procedural settings.
• Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on diagnostic findings.
• Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to organizational policies.
• Maintains high-quality, timely documentation including admission and progress notes.
• Performs bedside procedures as appropriate to patient population.
