Job summary

Essential Scribe is actively hiring Medical Scribes to work in the ED, providing valuable clinical exposure and hours. The role is paid, with paid training, and no prior experience is required.

You will gain a strong foundation in medical terminology while documenting patient visits under supervision. You will work alongside physicians, PAs, and NPs, building confidence in clinical settings and progressing within a supportive training program.

Qualifications

• Requires college degree or current enrollment in related field.
• Available for 2–4 shifts per week.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Typing speed of at least 65 WPM.
• Comfortable with computers and clinical software.

Responsibilities

• Document patient visits into the electronic medical record as clinicians work.
• Shadow physicians and other healthcare providers in the ED to capture information.
• Serve as the physician's right-hand person, enabling efficient charting and workflow.
