Job summary

Matrix Providers is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) for the Emergency Department at 633 Medical Group, Langley Air Force Base, VA. This full-time role offers an hourly wage of $28–$30 plus a $5.09 hourly H&W supplement.

Work hours are Monday through Friday, typically 9-hour shifts between 06:30 and 18:00, with a 60-minute unpaid meal break. Requirements include a nursing certificate, graduation from an accredited program, BLS certification, one year of post-graduation experience, and

Qualifications

• Certificate in nursing from an accredited program
• BLS certification required
• One year of practical or vocational nurse experience after graduation
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted LPN/LVN license

Responsibilities

• Initiate, perform and complete assigned duties in providing care to variable patient populations.
• Complete patient care based on patient conditions and document relevant information.
• Observe and respond to patient needs for care, including medication administration and education of patients/families.
• Prepare and administer prescribed medications and perform treatments per policies.
• Recognize emergent care situations and initiate appropriate interventions as directed.
• Assist in diagnostic tests and manage equipment and supplies.
• Orient peers and maintain unit policies and standards of practice.
• Support healthy work environment principles to improve care delivery and satisfaction.
