Job summary

Wilson Health is seeking an Emergency Department Health Unit Coordinator/Patient Care Technician for the Sidney, Ohio area. This full-time role supports the ED with patient record entry, care coordination, and bedside assistance during the 6pm-6am shift.

The position reports to the Emergency Department Nurse Manager and includes comprehensive benefits, PTO, and opportunities for growth within a leading community hospital.

Qualifications

• Requires GED or high school diploma.
• Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program; or related hospital experience.
• Ability to read and communicate in English with strong interpersonal skills.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and compile patient records and physician orders to ensure continuity of care.
• Coordinate unit activities and ensure necessary supplies are available for patient care.
• Open and timely communication with patients, families, and team members to support interventions.
• Assist under RN/LPN direction to meet physical and emotional needs of patients across age groups.
• Carry out assigned treatments and procedures as directed.
• Provide care based on ethical concepts, dignity, and respect for patients.
