Job summary

UCI Health is seeking an Emergency Department secretary/monitor technician to provide clerical support to nurses, physicians, and the Department Director. You will ensure timely initiation of patient care orders and coordinate internal and hospital-wide communications.

Responsibilities include maintaining office and chart supply par levels and following through with equipment repair and maintenance, ensuring smooth ED operations and patient care flows.

Qualifications

• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
• BLS Certification
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms.
• Previous acute care hospital experience
• Previous experience as unit secretary/monitor technician
• Basic Dysrhythmia Course

Responsibilities
