Willis-Knighton Health System is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for the South campus in Shreveport, LA. The role requires self-motivation, teamwork, the ability to stay calm under pressure, and professional conduct.

You’ll work under the supervision of Registered Nursing staff and support physicians and nurses in a fast-paced ED. Responsibilities include assisting with exams and treatments, patient comfort, and transporting patients as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum educational requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of EMT or Nurse Aide Course preferred; nursing school, medical school, previous hospital or military experience may substitute.

Responsabilités

• Assist the Physician with physical examinations and procedures.
• Assist the Registered Nurse with treatments.
• Attend to comfort needs of patients and families in emergency situations.
• Maintain supplies in the department and treatment rooms.
• Transport patients upstairs for admission.
