OSF HealthCare is seeking an Emergency Department Technician I to join the patient care team in the ER. The role involves basic patient care, vital signs, specimen collection, ECGs, and assisting with activities of daily living under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Qualified candidates have a High School/GED, and licenses such as CNA in Illinois, EMT-B, or BLS CPR; experience in a clinical setting is preferred. This is an hourly position with a $2.25/hr shift differential for third shift.

Expected pay for this position is $18.98 - $22.34/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

The Emergency Department Technician functions as a member of the emergency department patient care team, under supervision of the registered nurse. The emergency department technician I performs basic patient care procedures to provide for the care, comfort, and safety of patients, including, but not limited to, taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, performing ECG's, post-mold application, crutch-walk teaching, spinal immobilization, basic wound care, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts and communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care.
