Job summary

Baptist Health Georgetown is seeking an Emergency Department Technician (Nursing Assistant II) to support the ED team with patient care, specimen handling, and data entry. The role requires completion of a nurse aide credential and BLS, with on-site shifts including day and night coverage.

The ED Tech collaborates with nurses and technicians to maintain efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and safe, timely care in a busy emergency setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification or equivalent nursing schooling validation is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Work within the ED multidisciplinary team under RN supervision to support patient care.
• Collect, process, transport and analyze specimens per lab policies and testing standards.
• Maintain clean, efficient work area to support department workflow and patient care.
• Demonstrate proficiency in patient care according to hospital procedures.
